Top Ten reasons why religious people care if atheists or agnostics don't believe in god.

1) We love you.
2) It's for your own good.
3) It's gods will.
4) It's the "truth".
5) Don't you want to go to heaven?
6) It will destroy society if you don't believe in god.
7) This is a Christian country.
8) The bible tells me so.
9) You are evil if you don't.
10) God will make you rich. (heard this one not too long ago)

I have never read the Qur'an, but I remember a lecture I had in a history class where the teacher told us the 5 basic tenets of Islam.
1. Pray to Allah 5 times a day facing Mecca
2. Alms to the poor
3. Don't drink, do drugs or eat pork
4. Live and let live
5. A man can have up to 4 wives as long as he can take support them all.

At the time, I thought that sounded really cool. I remeber thinking that if I had to choose a religion, that Islam would be it. I don't understand where the concept if Ji'had fits into this. Nor the idea of killing infidels. When the crucades happened, was is not because christians went to the middle east and told the people they met that their beliefs were wrong. (In other words, the christians started it).
