anti time
I saw Star Trek (next gen) last night and they were talking about anti time. Is there such a thing? In theory?

Logically speaking? There would almost have to be... (most forces/things have opposites... matter/antimatter, energy/entropy, etc.) But I'm not aware of any specific theories to that end...

Sure. Of course, my uncle demands an equal amount.

There must (almost certainly) be an anti-time because almost everything has an opposite, like giraffes and anti-giraffes, or anti-electricity, and of course anti-gravity. And many theists who vist this board are supposed to be unintellingent ? Why don't you kids simply go back to school ? |

Let's see...
When it comes to what we might call 'universal concepts,' such as matter, energy, etc... we know from observation that these concepts tend to have corresponding opposing concepts. As an example, while matter carries a 'positive' charge, we know that there is also antimatter which carries a 'negative' charge. (Horrible oversimplification, but unless you're writing a book that's pretty much the only way to explain it.) We also know that while on the one hand we have energy, we also have entropy. Gravity? Is an attractive force. We also strongly suspect that gravity, like magnetism, has an equal and opposite repulsive force. (We have yet to find this force, but its existance is strongly implied.) Now.... once you look at all of these things as a whole... does it not make logical sense that since we have time, that there just might also be some theoretical 'anti-time' of some sort? But of course that wouldn't give you the chance to argue, troll. |

Ummmmm..... how are they not?
Granted you can argue as to whether or not entropy is an actual 'force' or if it's simply the absense of energy.... either way it's still an opposite. |
