Secular Humanists in Godless March
I am passing this on from the Council for Secular Humanism.
Update on The Council's Plans for the Godless Americans March on Washington Here's an update of the logistical arrangements The Council for Secular Humanism has made to help make organizing for the march easier for secular humanists throughout the country: * Deadline extended on a discounted hotel rate at the conveniently located Capital Hilton. $89.00 a night plus tax, singles or doubles. Make your reservations directly with the hotel at 1-800-445-8667 by Oct. 8. Be sure to ask for the Council for Secular Humanism's special rate. *The breakfast meeting the morning of the march at the Twigs Grill room in the Capital Hilton is filling up fast! $14 plus tax. Seating capacity is limited so please indicate your interest in the breakfast a.s.a.p. by contacting Ed Buckner at ebuckner@centerforinquiry.net. *A bulletin board on the Council's web site for secular humanist and other godless activists to exchange messages about arranging car pools, etc. http://www.secularhumanism.org/marchtalk/ *Printed signs that say "Secular Humanists for a Secular America." If you are interested in getting signs for your secular humanist or freethought society, please e-mail DJ Grothe, field director, at djgrothe@centerforinquiry.net with the number of signs you will need. Signs will be distributed the day of the march. *The assembly point for those who want to march behind the banner for the Council will be the S.E. corner of 14th & Constitution. Signs will be distributed there. *A press release template about the march for secular humanist society leaders to send to their local media outlets. The press release template is available on the Council's web site and will be sent directly to local secular humanist societies allied with the Council. |
