Just a background so everyone knows is I have read nearly every book by AIG group. Also have seen and heard many seminars done by various people at AIG. Listened to many evolution vs creation debates along with watching video debates. Seen Kent Hovind's 7 DVD seminar series and also have seen a seminar of his in person and talked to him in person. 25 years old with 1 year of college (sorry no big degrees).
I suggest we be gentle with him. Small words, that sort of thing...

I sure hope more people join us over on the JCSM forum. We hardly ever get any creationists over here, so if you feel like debating more YEC's then feel free to drop by. Right now there's practically no one except Jason G, but now there's this new guy so maybe things will get even more fun. And the more evilutionists there are on that board, the harder things will get for whatever creationists are left!

looks like its the very same matthew who's been posting AIG arguments at christian forums

he loves the "information gain" argument, and using the term "specified complexity"

Why doesn't someone invite matthew here? I'm sure we would all like to see his evidence for creationism.

Maybe next week I'll email him and challenge him to debate me on the existance of "kinds."

We're short on creationists these days. All the other forums have radorth, gemma, amie, and sabine to talk to, as well as a horde of lower profile theists. We have nothing except a few ID supporters with not much to say.

I miss Vanderzyden.

wasn't his fault he got an answer to a question he didn't really want answered.

Sure; it would be a good idea to have any new creationists over here. In relation to Matthew, may I just make one suggestion for dealing with him either here or at JCSM.

He tends to blather on about whatever "argument" he wishes to offer or subject he wishes to discuss, without regard to the topic at hand, scattering around assertions (which he never backs up) etc, etc. Standard creationist technique.

For example, check out his first post on the JCSM thread I linked to above. Not one on-topic word; in fact his post essentially said "well I've got nothing to say about the topic of this thread but I would like to blather about scientists and facts and interpretation". Several posts later, he's into an argument he calls "circular" and has managed to completely diss the idea that on this thread he might like to try to defend the creationist account for the fossil record.

Opponents like this get old very quickly, imho. Unless you crack the whip on keeping them on topic. One question at a time, one topic per thread. May I suggest that we don't let Matthew play the game according to his rules?
