No longer One Way:
Within the last 2 days, the (I dinno: was it USA only?) some major group of RC Bishops in union w/ a National association of Rabbis, issued the page A1 statement that, after 2 millennia of persecuting the Jews, Catholicism has now decided (:that sect whose dogmas never change: Cardinal Outlaw SAID so, at Toronto!) that christianity doesn't need to & isn't SUPPOSED to convert the Jews = That their initial "OT" covenant took care of it for them, WITHOUT Jesus. Breathtaking, in'n it? . A damn good thing JPII didn't canonize Isabella the Catholic! After all, it's taken only 2000 years to decide that that dogma was WRONG! Let's hear it >>>> "As the Cheuch has always taught...." So when are they going to give up on the perpetual virginity of that plaster Jewess?

Actually, Abe, I think he was reaffirming an existing policy. I first heard of the "separate covenant" doctrine a few years ago. Still it's a far cry from the outright persecution of the Inquisition or the tacit approval the Catholic Church gave to European anti-semitism and the Holocaust.
The idea that Catholic dogma never changes is the usual priestly propaganda. The church allowed woman priests and bishops into the fourth century, for example. |

I'm watching Pat Robertson talk about this. He's against it.
He also says that muslims are extremists. |
