One could make a good case that the NT account of Jesus was sanitized by his biographers [hagiographers, actually] so that the cult's evangelists would be allowed to carry a seemingly harmless message throughout the Roman Empire.
It is highly likely that Jesus was preaching seditious sermons against the Roman presence and the Quisling sellout of the Jews' priests. He was a dangerous rabble rouser in a time when Jews were on the brink of insurrection. |

They were forbidden to preach, evangelize or take part in the administrative functions. They could not hold the priesthood, but they could be teachers. Their role was actually limited to teaching the young and caring for the helpless and/or infirmed. I dont remember any admonitions against women as teachers in the early christian church. Wolf |
