I've looked a lot on the internet and just about every place says it doesn't reflect nihilism, but I can't seem to get a straight answer about how it doesn't reflect nihilism. In other words; what possible interpretation of the Heart Sutra is non-nihilistic?

Maybe it's just beyond me.

Emptiness means emptiness of self nature. Everything exists through causes and conditions, nothing is self caused.

Everything is process.

I think that the Heart Sutra is most definitely not nihilistic but I thought it was when I first read it. Then I lived at the Kagyud Centre in Melbourne for a couple of years, attended some lectures and read some books.

A good one is "The Heart Sutra Explined" by Donald Lopez.
