Someone once wrote, taking the part of the Devil:

"We get the wheat, and God gets the chaff"--referring to how Satan gets the rich, the powerful, and the cool, while god gets the losers.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

The factual flaws are that all children who go to children's hospitals die, and that all parents offered souls for their children would give them up. In fact, some children live and some die. One could conclude, given the other postulates, that some parents choose to sell their souls to save their children, while other's do not. A parent could logically not sell their soul because they believe that their child will go to heaven and want to be with their children in the afterlife, which they won't be if they sell their souls.

Only the incredibly gay way that you presented it. Hows 'bout next time you try something more normal, like this:

"If, according to the Xians, Satan really does 'buy' people's souls, then why don't we ever see people miraculously getting what they want from him, in exchange for their souls?" and cut the "postulation" crap.

Anyway, "He's sold his soul to the devil" is OBVIOUSLY a figure of speech. The idea is not that a person literally sold his soul to Satan himself for supernatural favors, it's that he/she gave up the possibility to go to heaven in order to enjoy the pleasures of earth. Hey, lighten up, buddy! Don't take everything so seriously and LITERALLY.

I always thought it was wierd that it says in Job that Satan came before God and had a talk with him. I've only got this stupid KJ bible available right now, but I thought I had read in other translations that it mentioned the conversation taking place in the "Halls of the Lord" (or something like that). If that means heaven, then how could Old Scratch just waltz in there like nobodys business? Isn't evil supposedly unable to mix with God?

Haven't found anywhere in Job that it does say that Satan is evil- just that he does things that are evil, but like I said- I've only got this King James version to go by, so all I know is apparently he's a betting man.

Certainty from the bible?
