Hey there Palad!

She got that the same way she got that when I said my kid would know better than to talk to me that way meant that I am not a loving parent.

Bottom line: Chickie seems to want a fight! Okay Mageth babes, here's the deal...the vanilla post I made is in response to criticism at another forum about my being too blunt, but apparently this doesn't apply now, so here we go..

Are you waiting for a Christian to agree with your idea that obedience to God's law is some sort of right-wing subservient slap in your face? Well, honey--you should have brought a lunch I'm thinking...

I do care how you raise your children, as I care about all children, and if you can read all sorts of slurs against yourself in such an innocuous post as Palad's, then may I suggest you quit reading these...

My answer, no matter what you think of it, is still the same, my friend...the law was the law, and applicable to everyone in equal measure..

There are a myriad of passages supporting Old Testament law, as well as rationales behind why we now follow New Testament law, which I would happily detail for you ad nauseum here, if I thought you actually gave a rat's a**...

which I don't...

But - Jesus came to uphold the laws, not rewrite them, didn't he?
No, he came to fulfill them.

No, it means to fulfill.

http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=fulfill

To bring to an end; complete....

... to complete by performance; to answer the requisitions of; to bring to pass, as a purpose or design; to effectuate.

Be more specific please
Oh, haven't you read the bible?
Abraham, most loved by God, whored out his wife to the Egyptians, kept slaves, raped a slave, abused his children, attempted to murder one of his kids, stole a sheep and killed it

Is that enough? There's plenty more. This was all moral for Abraham to do in the bible. If morals are fixed and unchanging as you claim do you think these are still moral acts?

I don't want to sidetrack on the Ten Commandments bit too much; I probably shouldn't have brought it up.

I said there are some moral absolutes, yes. As far as you saying he attempted to murder his kid, that isn't exactly the whole story, is it?

But they were anulled. Ya know ... like the law against eating pork ... Christians don't keep it. In fact all laws that Gentiles didn't want to keep were anulled.
