I've always had this great idea for a shen. Though I don't know how plausable it is.

At a church hide behind some bushes with a loud stero system. Right as people are leaving the church. Have the stereo playing a trumpet really loud. With a booming voice shouting. "BEHOLD FOR I HAVE COME TO GATHER MY FLOCK". If you could afford to have a bunch of inflatable dolls filled with helium already heading up in the sky that be even better. Or else just some clothes lying around the ground. The fun would be watching them freak out when they aren't being raptured.</strong>

Thanks Tim! I needed a laugh today and this is brilliant. If we are in the same area, I'll help you do this and pay for some of the cost.

Praise Jebus! If you ever hear his name, run fast in the other direction. I saw him on Politically Incorrect a little while back. The man is a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

If you read your history FastFalcon, you would see that in ancient times, most armies marched right on by Israel and into Egypt or wherever, because the Israelis were considered a bunch of ignorant goat herders and not worth the bother. Their "God's chosen people" nonsense was just wishful thinking.

Yeah, but nowadays, when the Egyptians see Israel, they see a people that needs to be wiped off the map. When Iraq sees Israel AND the United States, Mr. Hussein sees a future where there are no Americans or Israelis. The Arab states see the same thing. The only reason we deal with them and they deal with us is oil and money. Take them away and we would be in WWIII by now.

And another thing, the Ancient Egyptians thought the Israelites made good slaves until God had something to say about it.

Soon, to me would be anywhere from several months to 20 years.
Happy now?

I think we can live with that? Don't you, Kosh?

If Fastfalcon is still residing on this planet on May 14, 2022, he agrees to pay Kosh . . I believe it was one million dollars (adjusted for inflation?)

And if Fastfalcon has been raptured, Kosh agrees to distribute one million dollars worth of Hal Lindsey's masterworks to all members of the Vast Atheist Conspiracy.

Do we have a deal?

&lt;edited because I can't keep names and numbers straight&gt;

Revelation 1:1
"The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place . . ."

Revelation 1:3 "for the time is near"

Rev 1:7
"Look! He is coming with the clouds; every eye will see him, even those who pierced him . . ."

Estimated date of Revelation: 100 AD

Fastfalcon's definition of soon: up to 20 years

Deadline for fulfillment of things in Revelation: AD 120.

I say he pays up now.

Awhile back, regarding Tim LeHayes's "Left Behind" series, Fastfalcon posted:

Quote:
On Left Behind, it is fiction, yes. But is is based totally on the Bible (specifically the verses on Jesus's snatching away and the Revelation from Ch 6 onwards.) and I think the results of the Rapture would be exactly as stated though with different people and different scenarios.
FastF, I would find it comforting if you could give us just a little background info. I don't want to be nosy, or patronizing, it's just that knowing about your age and life experience affects how I would react to your statement above.

If you are a young person, say under 20, that's one thing; however, it makes my skin crawl to think you just might be one of my US Senators.
