According to <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2002/TECH/space/02/21/olympics.aliens.reut/index.html" target="_blank">this</a> CNN story, space aliens were supposed to fly overhead at the Olympic Games today to heal the world and make it a better place.

Heck, maybe they were responsible for poor Michelle Kwan falling.

Umm.. shouldn't this be in the humor section? You gotta be careful about the stuff from that appears to be from CNN.com, there's lots of fake stuff that has the cnn.com domain.

Actually, I was reading Jung once and he mentioned that UFO sitings and abductions became very popular at the beginning of the cold war. He theorized that the delusion was a cry for control and help. That we as a race were at the breech of self-destruction and we needed someone to come and help us and free us of our fears and weaknesses.

This is just another piece of proof to fill that puzzle.
