Cool new book on vertebrate evolution
Not sure exactly when this came out but it just arrived on the new books shelf in my museum's library:
Major Events in Early Vertebrate Evolution I've only had a chance to skim it so far but it looks like it has some really, really interesting stuff, including extensive discussion of the origins of chordates and vertebrates (including a chapter by Jefferies expanding on his "calcichordate" theory, although that is not the main thrust of the book). This is most definitely not light reading! |
