I scored 100%, but I could only see 9 questions. I didn't see a question 10. I actually had to strain my brain for question 9. But I never did like chemistry.

Hey, how'd you get a 100% if you didn't answer 10 questions?

I answered 10 questions!

and I only got a 67.

(didn't say I answered them correctly...)

Missed 8, 6, and ... 2. (4th grade question) ARRRRRRRR

No, not true.. I'm wrong (again!)... there's only 9 questions. I think Vorkosigan is referring to question #9.

I got 100%, but I freely admit I guessed on one question and got lucky (I'm not telling which one, though).

Are you talking about the gas question?

It's because (for the most part) at the same temperature and volume gases will exert the same amount of preasure on the container only if they have the same number of molecules. So I guess it is about moles.

You don't need to know all of the science to get the last question correct. A little knowledge about elements and molecules combined with a bit of logical thinking should lead you to the right answer, through the process of elimination if nothing else.

No, the question specifically stated that the Temperature and Pressure were identical in both cases. When you solve for 'n' using PV/RT = n (from the basic gas law PV=nRT) it is easy to see that the number of molecules are the same when the Volume is the same (10 liters).

Edited to add: Size of the molecules makes no difference here - If the pressure was high enough so that one or both were near their gas-&gt;liquid or gas-&gt;solid phase transition the size of the molecule might have an effect, but at anywhere near standard Temp and Pressure there would be no effect caused by the relative size of the molecures.
