Also, check the video at Philly's NBC affiliate. They show the protesters being arrested and one very hysterical woman. It was partly amusing and partly sad.

Thanks for the link, clark. Did you see the message board over there? The Xians are frothing at the mouth about this. They think that all of our laws are based on the 10C and that the evil atheists are trying to make Xianity illegal.
Sigh... |

How can you argue against such stupidity, especially stupidity backed by such fervor? The thing that frightens me about this is that this if in Philly, not Montgomery, Alabama or Tulsa, Oklahoma or Waxahachie, Texas. I have never thought of Philly as this backwards. Unfortunately, the people who objected to the covering of the 10Cs are not being educated as to why - it appears.
We need to change minds as to why it's wrong to post the 10Cs on government property, not simply beat people into submission. |

No, I'm afraid to. A friend of mine is a co-plaintiff in the case. She reported she has received death threats. Good Christian love rears its ugly head once more.
Apparently some xians have very loose interpretations of "Thou shalt no kill." |

Actually they should have learned it in Civics or Social Studies. But crazyfingers is right. We need to keep trying. |

As I watched the video of the Xians getting dragged away by police (for trying to protect the 10C's), I realized that only a few centuries ago an atheist would have been burned at the stake for suggesting that the 10C's come down.
