Can Prayer Really Heal?
"In the last 10 years, hundreds of scientific studies--at some of the nation's top universities--have probed a link between health and religious faith. The data may surprise you.
Thus reads last week's "Parade" magazine that comes with sunday newspapers. The article tended to read like a trick- a bunch of studies cited at first about prayer helped to relax people and thus leading to benefits, then some unbacked up things at the end about intercessory prayer. Anyway it got me interested on the validity of the studies they cited as well as what has been done to study prayer. Any input? -B |

There is already a substantial thread on this topic in this forum, is this an extension?

Each Sunday morning, the first piece of the Sunday suplement that goes into the trash bag is Parade Magazine. What a waste of paper!

I apologize for the double-topic. Didn't notice, I should have checked first. Parade does suck, but I read "Ask Marilyn" in case there's a fun puzzle.
