Further YHVH, or Yahweh if you prefer, but certainly not Jehovah, seems to have no qualms about sending you in to decimate entire populations and give you their land. If the bible is to believed that is. Don't these people read their own book. Isn't what this guy is describing exactly what YHVH did in the book of Joshua? And Exodus? And Judges? etc. etc. |

no one in the media is willing to strap on a set and point out to xtians that "god" used terrorism to free the hebrews from Egypt. all the plauges targeted civilians culminating with the angel of death targeting children. that is the definition of terrorism. i would give anything to see Jerry Falwell why he considers this an acceptable means for combating an enemy, especially for an omnipotent deity who would theoreticlly have quite a few other oputions for achieving his goal.

Channel-surfing last night when suddenly my TV was engulfed by this huge face. The jowls spanned the entire width of the screen. Falwell.
My morbid curiousity to see what ignorance he was spewing this time got the better of me so I watched for a bit. Turns out he was a guest on MSNBC's latest programming brainchild, Alan Keyes is Wagging His Finger in Your Face. (I always thought Geraldo Rivera kept putting Falwell on as comic relief, but Keyes seems to think Jer is a big-time thinker) Anyway, it was Falwell and Keyes pretty much teamed up against an American Moslem Cleric named Ibrahim Hooper. Hooper was taking the Right Reverend Jerry Vines to task for his recent comments at the Southern Baptist Convention about Mohammed being a pedophile and probably demon-possessed and that Muslims are actually following Satan . . . and Falwell was (big surprise)defending Vines. His entire defense was that these comments were not bigotted because Rev. Vines is really a good, loving guy and the statements were made behind closed doors to an invitation-only audience. Hooper repeatedly hammered Jer for this, and Jer just kept heaping praises on Vines and Graham for how loving and nice they were, because they only espouse bigotry when they are among a few thousand of their fellow bigo . . er . .Baptists. Keyes even chimed in to say that "people who believe the bible, and interpret it literally, have to conclude that Muslims are, in fact, (Keyes loves to say "in fact") following Satan." That is about the point I turned it off. Stupidity like this makes me suspect that Keyes and Falwell are, in actuality, moles in the employ of The Great Atheist Conspiracy. Am I right? Come on, 'fess up people. |
