You know, while we're giving Gawd all this glory for keeping the kids safe by answering their prayers for safety, we need to realize that some kid on that bus needs to be punished for manipulating God. Think about it. I bet some kid didn't study for his geometry exam. Then he's praying to God on the bus ride, "please God don't make me take this test today, I promise I'll study so I can pass tomorrow". God actually answered his prayers not the rest of the students. God inconvenienced all those other kids, scared their parents, and sent the bus driver to jail (or the mental ward) just to keep little Timmy from taking the test. Yes indeed, God works in mysterious ways.
"Praise God for holding the buildings up long enough for some people to escape." Okay, so let me get this straight. God creates, destroys, and recreates all of creation but the best he can do for a burning building is slow the rate at which the steal beams melt. I particularly like his method of teaching parents lessons by abusing their kids. Oh, BTW. Did any body else happen to notice the bus driver's name ? edited to add: If only the bus had been from Springfield the story would have been perfect. While the bus was not from Springfield, the rifle was: "M1 Springfield semiautomatic rifle" that was behind the driver's seat. Perhaps the Dark Lord MontyMort is trying to lead us away from the true path of Simpsonism?
Hmm. Otto the bus driver, Springfield (the rifle), any other Simpson's "coincidences" to be found in the article? HOLY COW: I missed Montgomery (AKA Mr. Burns) as the county where Otto is being detained... |

He held them up for six minutes, and on the seventh minute he rested.

If you intervened, why not just throw some balefire at Osama bin Laden? HUH? That would have been damn good.

For Xtians, their god is a spiteful bully who kills and maims, yet if they survive some dangerous situation, the god is praised and worshipped. Sounds like co-dependent abuse on a cosmic scale. "Thank you, mean bully-god for not killing me today. You are to be praised."
