Question Death Threats, how many have you gotten?

Having two myself, I wonder if this is a widespread problem. I know that the person who wrote the book about who Christianity should change or it will dissapear got 13. I have also found a large number of fundamentalists seem to think that some sort of violence(not as extreme as murder) will bring you to their veiwpoint on some idea.
So, I have to wonder how widespread is this?

Yes, being an atheist, or even for just generally disagreeing with the fundamentalists.

Absolutely none, but then there aren't a lot of fundamentalists around here. People with such a medieval view of Christianity are deeply disturbed.

I've never received a death threat. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough.

Have you reported yours to the police?

Getting them right to my face, I mearly informed them that murding me would have no purpose but to further atheism by giving it a martyr. I used martyrdom examples that they would understand like Jesus. They seem to have gotten the point, and seeing as they do not know where I am I see no reason to deal with them further. The random suggested violence is kept off by pointing out its impact on the validity of the argument(if you have to become violent with me, your probably wrong), and pointing out every possible move I can use against them to hurt them(If I wan't a passifist, I'd be dangerous).
