"Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush.

Also, I'll second "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel.

Listening to either of those songs makes me want to do nasty, wonderful things. A lot.

"Because the Night" by Patti Smith. Bruce's version is OK too.

FYI, didja know that Mozart wrote a song called "Vedrai carino" in Don Giovanni which Zerlina (lyric soprano) sings to her boyfriend Mazetto, who just got beaten up by the horny bastard Don Giovanni, in which she tries to cheer him up?

It is based on the same concept as "Sexual Healing"(A good lay will fix you up).

Bad translation from the ancient Schirmer edition of the whole opera:

Nestling serenely, Warm in my sympathy, No aching memory need you endure;
Near lies your healing, No unappealing, unnatural remedy Have I in mind. No.
Herbs of some kind? No. Mine is the cure.
It is a humanly virtuous property
Heaven confides in me,
Wanting it pure.

Now shall we prove it?
Where can it be? Will you love it can I be sure?

Here it beats lovingly, Touch it and see! Here it beats lovingly, Here it beats lovingly.

Is it not all I swore? Softly it beats, beats, beats.
Each throb repeats to you: I am your comfort, I am your comfort, I am your comfort and so much more.

Vedrai Carino
Vedrai carino, se si buonino
Che bel remedio
Ti voglio dar.
E naturale,
Non di disgusto,
e lo speciale
Non lo so far,
No, non lo so far,
E'un certo balsamo
Che porto addosso
dare t'el posso,
se il vuoi provar.

Saper vorresti
dove mi sta, dove, dove, dove mi sta?

Senti lo battere,
Toccami qua, senti lo battere,
(repeat, repeat).

Anything by Billie Holliday. "Love for Sale" if I have to pick one.

Also, I think Captain Beefheart's music is very sexy with his hooting and hollering and stomping blues-corrupted rhythms. "Making Love to a Vampire with a Monkey on My Knee" or "Bat Chain Puller" are a couple that come to mind.

And there's a lot of sexy African music, but I can't pick out any particular songs off the top of my head.

Anything by Lamb.

Anything by Al Green.

"Fear of Fireflies" by Calla.

"Closer" is fine, but my vote for best Trent-penned boom tune goes to "The Only Time."

Jack White gets me going when he's in scratchy-croony as opposed to shrieky mode.

It's good to see Otis get a mention here. His I've Been Loving You Too Long kicks my ass every time. Big 10-4s for Closer and Patti's Gloria as well.

Almost anything by Tool. Maynard's voice just has this quality. I don't feel sexy, I just feel like I really need some RIGHT NOW! Shoot, I am at work and I spent too much time thinking about his voice. I'm really trying not to be too graphic, but I think I really need some RIGHT NOW! Wow, the effect!!!!!! not to mention their lyrics are so atheistic. Right now, I keep hearing: Get off your fucking cross. We need the space to nail the next fool martyr.

I need a cold shower!!!

"Fade into You" by Mazzy Star
The version of "Sway" from Dark City
"Euphoria (Firefly)" by Delerium

Gotta agree with "In Your Eyes" and "Wicked Game," and add "Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing" to the Chris Isaak roster.

And while "Closer" and "The Only Time" are good, the NIN song that really gets my mind (and other stuff) thinking the bad stuff is "Sin."
