Over the last week or so, there's been at least one letter per day about the "current" debate over Evolution in SC classrooms. All of them have been from fundamentalist creationists talking about how evolution is blasphemy and irreconcilable with the Buybull, etc.
I managed to keep my nose out of it until I saw today's letter: Quote:

Well, they called me to validate the letter, and said it'd be published this week.
I should have waited. Since I posted this originally, the letter-a-day pace has managed to keep up, and there were three letters in the paper today spreading more creationist lies. I should be saving them up to refute all in one letter. The trick is doing it in under 250 words. I keep expecting to see a pro-evolution letter.... there hasn't been one. Well, that's what I get for living around these moronic backwoods inbreeders. |

You must of read this editorial in the Greenville News! I read the same editorial and experienced every single emotion this bag of ions and water could muster up, except for euphorphia. Sadly, I would say that at least 50% of my employees support this guy. I am currently debating 2 creationists with more to follow. I love the line "ignorant bronze-age sheepherders"; being an editorial allows you to state this opinion. Anyway, you are not alone and don't forget that.
I tried writing a letter to the paper, but due to not putting my address on it (by accident), it was never placed in the editorials. |

Your missive is one of the best letters to the editor I've seen, sucinct, and yet it makes its point clearly and vividly in a way that anyone can see your logic.
