I'm a medical dosimetrist, specializing in High Dose Rate brachytherapy for cancer treatment. We are achieving very good results with this form of treatment, especially with prostate, breast, gynecologic and head and neck cancers, making my job personally rewarding as well.

Special needs school bus driver, studying (this year) early childhood education.
I do not especially want a degree. I like to learn about everything and spend time with my children, so every year, I take a course of something that interests me at the time. Last year, it was herbalism, next year, I'm trying to decide between gunsmithing and psychology. ;o)
My husband is a musician/artist, also an infidel. We believe in working just hard enough to pay bills and eat well, spending our time in personal growth and family pursuits, considering those far more rewarding (to us) than making extra money.

Lots of interesting careers here - fascinating, really. I'm one of those liberal arts guys - I ghostwrite gardening books and articles for a living, along with speechwriting, and I've published around twenty articles on popular culture under my own name. Most recently, I've been assigned to write a supplement for the Traveller roleplaying game. (Like my Geek Test score wasnt' high enough already...)

I would have been sooo jealous of you when I was a teenager. I always wanted to write a RPG back then. Maybe someday I will although I'm not really into that stuff anymore.

I am so psyched. I've been waiting for this all my life.

School is only a month away. I used to be nervous as a student going to school on the first day, but man I'm sure that's nothing compared to being a first-year teacher going to the first day of school. No mentor teacher. No one to rescue me. Just me and the kids. Wow. That's scary. And exciting. I just hope I don't throw up.
Hi Pensee,

I hope to be a teacher too someday. A high school math teacher, preferably. I've ran into some setbacks though, so it may take a while longer till I get to where you are. I'm envious that you're getting your career going!
