Default occupation of the average atheist

I am fairly new here and I'm not sure if this belongs to this forum, but whatever... (feel free to move it mods)
I've been making my initial posts in the philosophy forum and I've been wondering about something. Most atheists take a very scientific/naturalistic view of the world. I'd like to know what the occupation of the average non-theist is. I myself am a student going into first year university next year, deciding to specialize in philosophy. I am just curious from a psychological perspective, I guess.

Since I was an atheist when I chose my occupation, I figure I can post in this thread .... I do applied math/stats type stuff and had no interest at all in philosophy when I was in school.

I did however minor in French lit, so I got the good stuff like Sartre, Camus, Voltaire, etc.

I'll be returning to study for a philosophy degree in september, before that I did Linguistics/Physics for a while.

In the interim I've been working in a technical support department ...

Probably fairly typical for a heathen like myself ...

Lets see, Im only 16 but I work fulltime in the summer for a farmer (yes it sucks). I am also a computer programmer though and am interested in the medical field, study of law, or just becoming a computer programmer full time. Its amazing how diverse my life is.

Cool

I can officially say I'm a teacher!!! I'll be teaching 4th grade math next year!!!! Monday, I get to see my very own classroom!!!

I am so psyched. I've been waiting for this all my life.

School is only a month away. I used to be nervous as a student going to school on the first day, but man I'm sure that's nothing compared to being a first-year teacher going to the first day of school. No mentor teacher. No one to rescue me. Just me and the kids. Wow. That's scary. And exciting. I just hope I don't throw up.

I have a degree in Software Engineering and am a bit of a wiz with computers. I work in a 'tote' room.

I have always had a scientific mind (loved physics at school and watching the 'boring' physics programs on TV at home)

I don't think I have ever believed in GOD (I think I used to believe in father christmas and the tooth fairy more than in god) I think I may have believed in heaven though at a very early age.
