That which scares one the most, all that sort of thing, I guess.

or is it compensation? I don't know.

But to have DNA feign annoyance that his name has been used is probably one of the more stupid and asinine complaints I have ever heard from him.

This is, afterall, the paragon of integrity and virtue that posted my CO-WORKERS names on the internet and has often used my real name in quite inflammatory ways - including posting lengthy diatribes about me at ARN where I was unable to correct his childish, irrelevant, and obsessive attacks (I did respond on my personal website, and some creationist idiot actually had the nerve to complain that I wasn't giving HIM an opportunity to respond! Amazing...).

No, DNA, I did not have to provide any information to anyone. Indeed, I was told by an ARN old-timer where to look for your identity (well after the co-worker extortion bid).

It isn't that hard to find out.

So please do not think for a second that you are so important that anyone would be as obsessive about you as you are of just about everyone that disagrees with you.

Hell, I even tried to 'welcome' you back, but that was a wasted effort. You are incorrigible and a waste of time.

I'm going back to ignoring you, and your little "I'm so important" internet fantasy world.

It is so entertaining to watch mturner explicitly ignore/avoid discussing papers which "disprove"directed mutation, a linchpin of his silly "EAM".

Pangloss,
While I have no delusions of changing your mind
about DNAunion (since you two have a history which
predates my participation in ANY message board)
I can assure you that the above is untrue: I read
the thread in question several times (but only
after Principia had already changed the name to
"DNAunion's homosexual fantasies" from something
with an ID-related title).

Briefly what happened was this;

1)Principia was in high-baiting mode. DNA's responses on the thread in question were remarkably restrained (for him anyway).

2)Principia started his leeringly insinuating tactic. Something like 'Isn't that cute?'.

3)DNAunion, just trying to fend off the (entirely
inappropriate) remark, said (close to exact words)
'I don't swing that way.'

4)It was Principia who dragged your name into it
at that point. To the best of my recollection DNA
said nothing about you.

5)I, knowing Principia's penchant for re-writing
via edit his posts and thereby misrepresenting everything, copy and pasted the offending posts (about 6 to give the whole context)into my own post towards the end of page 2, so anyone wishing to ascertain the culpability could figure it out.

6)DNA, outraged by both the baiting and the new
thread title (DNAunion's homosexual fantasies)
started his own kvetch thread (something about
Principia being an a__hole).

7) Subsequently the moderator appeared and deleted
entirely the baiting thread of Principia but merely locked the DNAunion-started thread. Abacadabra! Evidence is gone from the queue.

Amie, who read both threads, can prob. verify my
account.

Cheers!

As the moderator who actually deleted (moved out of the public eye, actually, off to the to psecret moderators' treehouse...er...conference room) the thread in question, I feel that I ought to speak up here.

I moved the thread Principia started and, subsequently, edited because it was over the line in several ways and I didn't want to leave the blatant character attacks in the public forum while the storm was in progress, fearing that they would add fuel to the fire. I left DNAUnion's thread in the public forum (with some editing of the title and the removal of an insult) because, first, less editing was necessary to make it acceptable and, second, it was a convenient place in which to indicate to DNAUnion, Principia, and all involved that their behavior was not acceptable. I was not trying to make DNAUnion look as though he had singlehandedly perpetrated the fight, and I apologize if it appeared that way.

Now...

I'd appreciate it, the moderators would appreciate it, and I'm sure most of our participants who are interested inevolutionary topics would appreciate it, if we could all drop this nonsense and get back to discussing evolution.

Pomp,
I have no beef with deleting a thread. It is just
that the way this particular one (the provocational one-----heck even the re-naming of the title was a provocation) disappeared made it
difficult to impossible for those reading later to
reconstruct what had happened. SOMEONE misinformed
pangloss as to the reference to him in the deleted thread. That misinformation served a secondary provocational purpose: to exacerbate the bad blood between pangloss and DNAunion.

Cheers!

Thats good, because i have no intention of changing my mind.

He did, however, bring me up for no reason.

I did not read the posts in question, and it does not really matter.
