Default God's reply to Mr. Robertson.

God:

“Mr. Robertson, are you trying to seduce me?

(Almost like in “American pie” movie)

If not, don’t bother me with these things. I have the Universe to take care about.

By the way, as a really religious guy, I’m for state and church separation.

Sincerely mine,

God”

If God does not put it in the mind of these three justices to retire, what can we learn from that?

1. There is no God.

2. God is perfectly happy with the Supreme Court as is.

3. God doesn't respond to requests.

4. ?

(And what if he puts in the mind of Rehnquist to retire...what would that tell us?)

4. God thinks that Pat Robertson is money-grubbing, knob-gobbling political opportunist who ought to be ignored.

Here's a transcript of an interview Robertson gave CNN. This statement is almost amusing:

Quote:
But there's something more profound in this. This particular court, in my opinion, has turned the Constitution on its ear. It started way back in the '60's and we have had assault after assault after assault on religious values, on other things, and this recent decision, in my opinion, is shocking. It was so broad based. ... And just think, Paula, we've slaughtered something in the neighborhood of 43 million unborn babies because of Roe v. Wade.
What "particular court" are you gibbering about, Pat? Rehnquist has been there the longest, and he was appointed in 1972.

I guess he must mean the Court as it became when the two Dems were appointed. Then it just went right 'round the twist, and those seven Republicans have no control over it anymore. God, that makes me laugh.

Pat Robertson, God's Simp In which the Divine announces plans for a major karmic enema for all of organized religion, ASAP

Quote:
Apparently, it's Pat's patented 21-day "prayer offensive" (not to be confused with his customary "offensive prayer"), some sort of cosmic faux-Christian effort to oust those sodomy-condoning judges who don't agree with the Right's hardcore anti-gay agenda and also because apparently God only listens to sweaty bundles of self-righteous indignation if you implore Him over and over again for three weeks straight. Check the PalmPilot, man. God is busy.

. . .

Now that would be a true miracle, considering there are only two on the Court.

Wink

Revisiting this thread today, I found the title, "Robertson's prayer offensive" particularly humorous. Of course, it all depends on how you read it. "Robertson's (action) prayer offensive" OR "Robertson's prayer (implied "is") offensive"!

The latter works for me!
