Isaiah, the false prophet
I have posted this question in several threads, and have yet to have it answered, so I will try here.
The Bible CLEARLY states that if a man prophecies in the name of God, and that prophecy does not come to pass, that man is a false prophet. The Bible also CLEARLY states that Isaiah prophesied that King Ahaz would be victorous over ths Syrian-Isralite armies. The Bible also CLEARLY states that Ahaz was defeated. So- Isaiah MUST be a false prophet. Correct? |

I just posted this to keep it from slipping onto page two without one Christian responding.

Offa; Pardon me if I have the wrong story ... I do not feel like getting references. Is this the story about Sennacherib and the 175,000 "dead Assyrians"? These Syrians were "dead" as a metaphore. Fundies have a problem with this because, the people Jesus raised from the "dead" were metaphores (sp). I am "dead" because I am an atheist, and, somewhere out there, I hear ... "hang on, I'll save ya' brother!" NO, Christians and Jews are "dead" ... not Catholics, they are not "born again".

I can't believe that no one will address this!
If I don't get an answer soon, I will have to assume that I'm right, and since the Bible contains the words of a false prophet, it cannot be the word of God. |
