Since you guys were having fun being
critical of creationist letters to the paper, I thought you'd enjoy this little "quote" from arch-idiot theonomist Gary Demar on evolution. (in response to Michael Ruse) "...Ruse didn't always espouse the religious foundation of evolution. But since evolution ass the same questions as religion-telling us where we came from where we're going, and what we should do on the way-he had to admit the religious nature of his chosen materialistic world view. For Ruse, and he is correct, 'evolution is a kind of secular ideology, an explicit substitute for Christianity.' If evolution is a "substitute for Christianity" and christianity is religious, then evolution, as Christianity's substitute, is religious. The distinction in this debate, therefore, is not between religion and science, as so many claim, but between one religion and science (materialistic evolution) and another religion and science (creation science). Quoted from Biblical Worldview, October 2002. The problem being of course that by using rhetoric and mindless whinging about the naturalistic bias of science they are offering no evidence to counter evolutionary theory. I'm suprised that of several seemingly intelligent people that have posted here as creationists, none of them is picking up on this utter lack of evidence. I hate to be an utter bitch about this but do creationists ever do anything but lie, whine, and quote mine? Bubba ![]() Sorry, just had to rant... |
