Post Does YEC'ers acceptance of microevolution constitute heresy?

I listened to an online debate between Dan Barker and apologist Jason Gastrich linked from here: Want a Good Laugh?!? and a thought struck me; Jason went on about how he has no problem with microevolution, but the macro stuff is completely out.

But in the biblical story of creation, god pronounces everything 'good', and finishes the work of creation. I'd like to hear how YEC'ers would explain, if god was indeed done with the work of creation some 6-8000 years ago, why even small changes are happening? Isn't it heretical for them to accept microevolution?

:edited for missing words and UBB stupidity, henceforth known as UBBidity.

I don't know if it's heresy, but microevolution is so freaking obvious to anyone that has 1/2 a brain, it's imperative that they accept it to hold any credibility.

Although there are YECS who don't even accept microevolution or any form of natural selection Douglas J Bender comes to mind.

I'm not sure how so many of them justify heliocentrism or round-Earthism either.

Yeah maybe heresy was too strong a word, but I'd still like to hear their explanation of how they can accept it.

Wow there's actually someone here who doesn't believe that flu virii change from year to year? I guess you could have a twisted form of admiration his slavish adherence to inanity..
