Default Where's the chupacabra now?

Anyone remember this guy (the "goat sucker")? About 10 years ago, there was virtual mass hysteria about some devilish looking monster with red eyes who was going around sucking blood from goats and scaring people. I think it was in Cuba, or the Carribean somewhere. I never heard anything more about it. Has there been any kind of a skeptic investigation on it? Curious minds want to know!

Interest in the chupacabra seems to have died down recently, though there have been reports as recently as this year.

This pattern, in which there are sporadic reports of some strange beast or other phenomenon, followed by massive number of "sightings" over the next few years, then a gradual tapering off of the number of "sightings" is entirely typical of mass-hysteria induced phenomena.

Cheers,

Michael

The chupacabra doesn't scare me nearly as much as the The monstrous man-eating devil-water-cow.

From the site...

As a young boy I remember swimming and fishing in the swampy waters and marsh land which Weatherford, Texas is known for.

<snip>

An old Indian legend, dating back a hundred generations, identified the gator infested Weatherford, Texas as the cosmic magnet of the universe.
Swimming in 'gator infested' waters doesn't seem too bright to me.
