Yep, it was Moses that predicted genes, wasn't it! OH WAIT that was Darwin. I'm mixing up my lesser Gods today!

Actually it's NOT a waste of space to me. The universe will be a great place to throw all the creationist literature in, after they get a clue!

God's purpose? Well I didn't get that memo. I was too busy at the atheist conspiracy meaning.

We dont live in a perfect world because none of us are perfect humans. Will the perfect human being please reply and tell me why he/she deserves to live in a perfect world??
Another thing, scigirl, could you please review the evidence for me that the natural world is becoming more perfected over time? I am not talking about man's ability to curtail nature.

Lack of optimization would seem to indicate a designer that lacked skill and/or experience. At least, that's what I think when I read badly designed computer code.

edited to correct Friday afternoon braindead grammar

Ok SciTeach, two things:

1) Maybe god will give you your utopia later, but until then. . . I bet you still go to the doctor when you are sick, yes? Doctors rely on scientific explanations, which a priori do not include the supernatural. And for that, you should be thankful, since medicine has been a very successful endeavor (I''m currently in medical school in case you didn't know).

2) How about lending us your astute thoughts to this thread I just started here. Specifically, how does a literal reading of genesis explain the pattern of L1 retrotransposons in modern-day primates?

Thanks for your insight in advance,

I never said it was.

Here's a thought experiment for you, sciteach, while you are carefully contemplating the LINE question I previously asked you.

If you were to design a perfect immune system in today's germy world, what would it entail? Please describe this to me. Thanks again in advance - o teacher my teacher, please educate me!

Its very cute and smug of you scigirl, and I am very impressed by your wit an'all, I just hope the atheists aren't being treated like that on the Christian websites, because boy, we will really here all about it then!!
Here's a bible passage that seems to be prescient in regards to particle physics and Im sure Max Planck would agree:
"The things which are seen are made of things which do not appear" (2 Cor 4:18)
BOY WHAT A PREDICTION THAT GOES AGAINST ALL OF YOUR IMPRESSIVE COMMON SENSE!!

You dont have to say it was, its plainly obvious to any numbskull that the increasing complexity of this randomly mutating universe is perfecting an environment for intelligent beings to thrive. So we should be getting more intelligent and diseases should be gradually waning, no??

Sciteach - out-of-the-closet atheists typically get banned from your standard christian board as soon as they post anything substantive. You won't get banned here. Please post something substantive, though.

All an evolutionist needs to do to believe in God/ID is to step outside and take a look around!!

Only works if you're wearing Jesus Goggles.

Guess I'm dumber than a numbskull because I don't get this.
