What the hell does the Big Bang have to do with Biology? And since when does TOE have anything to do with the Origin of Life and the Universe?

Natural selection and how it is affected through environmental changes? Hopefully that was a typo and they meant effected.

I agree Rufus! <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" />

Oh, for f**k's sakes. Now we'll have yet another generation convinced that there is some deep problem -- something beyond viable interbreeding -- that distinguishes "micro" from "macro" evolution.

Well, I just sent a letter to my state board of education member about this. I will keep y'all informed about the interaction.

Update: I'm in luck. By state BOE representative is a friend of the family. She is forwarding my concerns to the Dept. of Education for review and feedback.

I have a dream. I have a vision of those who have pushed for alternate theories of origins in science classes actually getting what they asked for. Then, when they see their kids being exposed to alternate theories that they like even less than evolution (like Native American or Hindu creation stories), I see them screaming bloody murder, to which we then can reply, "Quit your bitching. You said you wanted alternate views discussed. Now, it seems you had only ONE alternate view in mind. Your own. A blatantly Christian view. In other words, you lied to get your idea in the door, and now complain that your lie was taken at face value. You made your bed, now lie in it. Begone, hypocrites"

I have a dream.

Cheers,

KC

The options are endless. However, I would probably edge towards the IPU and perhaps my own theory that God is a hippo and the big bang was when he wasn't paying attention to the brautworst he was cooking on the stove and it exploded. They are both good "theories".

Heretic! The Great Hippo cooked the bratwurst successfully, ate it, then farted out the universe.

Only farted, if we are lucky.

Know this isn't a humor forum, but this certainly applies to the thread.
