Best thing that could have happened to the child.
However, I hope the mother sues the crap out of them. |

Seriously, if they're that concerned shouldn't they be doing what "good christians" do and be trying to "save" this child from eternal damnation instead of rejecting the child on the grounds that the child lives in an "unholy" household. More hipocrasy from holy fools. |

Wait a second...
Aren't conservatives arguing that the commitment to freedom means that orginizations should not be able to teach children things that conflict with the values they learn at home? Fucking hypocrits each and every one. |

It's very hypocritical.
If he honestly cared for the girl and the mother he would want them to stay and try to honestly influence the mother into finding a new career. Something along the lines of, "I don't believe GOD would want you to do this and hopefully you'll learn to see this one day. Now come, let us pray and look at idols that make us remember that GOD sent his only son to Earth and we nailed him to some wood." |

I agree with bond... this is the best thing that could happen to the kid. Not only does she get out of a fundie christian school... (which tend to give horrible educations to begin with) and odds are she can get enough out of them to send the kid to a real private school and a nice college.

Hypocritical perhaps, but not actionable. Private schools have broad rights to admit or not admit, or to admit and then unadmit, pretty much anyone they feel like educating or not educating.

Sure, but try denying a student because he's black.
And Im not saying that because I think it should be ok to do just that. |

Here's another article that goes into a little more detail
here Checking the website and downloading pictures of her "in response to rumors"? Riiiiight... Hmmm, I don't see any of these "good Christian folks" offering to help her with that hefty tuition. [ May 16, 2002: Message edited by: MzNeko ]
|
