Post Terrorist Warning: Don't drink Coke!

So I'm at lunch today with 2 co-workers and one of them orders a Coke. Then he stops, changes to lemonade, and says "Nope, I am NOT drinking Coke".

I thought maybe he was a diet or something.

Then he proceeds to tell us how his mother-in-law helped some guy out.... I stopped him right there.

"Was this an Arab guy?"

Him: Yeah!

"Did he tell her not to drink Coke because terrorists were going to poison it?"

Him: Yeah!

We laughed, and I told him that was an urban legend that had been going round for years.

But what got me is that his "source" was so close, ie his mother-in-law! I asked him "If we asked your M.I.L., she'd say that the guy told her directly?

Him: Yeah!

Unreal. Maybe M.I.L. was playing a joke on him...

I stopped drinking Coke after I heard what Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas found on his can of Coke. I'm strictly a Dr. Pepper man now!

Um, Thomas didn't "find" pubic hair in his Coke. That was part of his sexual harrassment of Anita Hill.

This is what always gets me about that claim:
How could she tell where the hair came from?

Because she was in his office and he said: "Who put a pubic hair in my Coke?"

Just a guess.

As i remember it, Clarence said the pubic hair was on the top of the can, not actually in the Coke itself. Then he told Anita all about "Long Dong Silver".
