Don't be so hasty - there's an ongoing debate in my local rag about Evolution - Creation. Same old lies being spouted, same old refutations being given by the few scientifically literate people responding.

<a href="http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/displayNode.jsp?nodeId=67372&command=newPage" target="_blank">North Staffs Sentinel </a>

A quick look through some of these letters will quickly enlighten as to the intellectual level of the debate. I never thought I'd see the day, really.

Edit - PS, One of the letters is attesting to the non-refuted status of Gentry's Polonium Halos. Now, I know enough about it to know that this is the same old, same old, but does anyone want to write an "layman version" that we can send in? Is there a version that a layman would understand, and that doesn't take more than a minute to read?

I guess that's what he's counting on. D'Oh!

We just can't get away from them, can we?

Actually, one of those guys looks like the type of "aerospace engineer" that throws people off of tall buildings to see if they can fly!

I don't get this "biosphere". All it is is a long, hollow metal tube. What is the point of it?

Carl Baugh is a proponent of the vapor canopy theory that says all of the waters that created Noah's flood fell from an ice barrier that encircled the Earth (the biblical firmament). Because of the weight of this canopy, the prediluvian atmospheric pressure was much greater than it is now and had a higher oxygen ratio. It is Baugh's contention that a pressurized "biosphere" recreating those early conditions will yield a massive increase in the size of the modern flora and fauna introduced into the chamber. The results are suppose to support the vapor canopy model.

I don't think we should even start on why a narrow tube is going to be called a biosphere, but hey, now at least Baugh's museum won't have tires. What a maroon!

Of course if he tries to raise animals in that thing instead of plants he'd better be ready for some really stoned/dead animals....

At least unless he makes it a helium mix instead of nitrogen.

Oh, now that sounds grisly...

Instead of looking in the portals to see a recreation of paradise, there'll be a whole lotta twitchin' going on.
