Lightbulb A Challenge to Ethical Vegetarians

As a moral subjectivist and a meat-loving omnivore, I hereby challenge anyone who advocates the ethical necessity of vegetarianism to a formal debate.

The gauntlet is down. As the challenged, you may choose the proposition resolved.

Heh, I'm tempted to argue the side of the vegetarians just for the fun of the debate, but I'll leave it to a true advocate just the same.

I hope someone from the cellulose side accepts the challange.

I'll make a nice meal of Veal and seared fois gras in a demi glace for the winner.

What might be more interesting is a debate on the immorality of cannibalism from your perspective, Malaclypse. Would you consider cannibalism immoral? If so, on what grounds? How about dead chimp meat? Chimpanzees are fairly intelligent primates. Would you consider it immoral to use their flesh for food?

I would like to request that if Malaclypse the Younger's challenge is accepted, the actual debate will take place in the Formal Debates forum and that rules etc are agreed to at the start.

Of course we can open a thread for discussion about the formal debate.
