Post Did God Welch on His Promise?

At what stage exactly did God live up to his promise to give the land to the Isrealites from the river of Egypt (Nile?) yea unto the great river that is Euphrates, and not the Jordan silly, which is called a river but is just a beck? I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Was I asleep when they announced it?

Wink

Isn't that part of what the Arab nations are concerned about? That there are a lot of Israelis that still expect Him to deliver on that promise?

Well, according to Genesis, God (YHWH) made a covenant (contract) with Abram giving that land to his descendants. Thus 1 of 3 possibilities:

1) Abram's descendants did not fulfill their side of the contract.

2) The Arabs (who now inhabit all that land)really are Abram's descendants.

3) Genesis was a work of fiction written to legitamize the Imperial aspirations of King Josiah of Judaea.
