To Badfish, after reading through this thread, I find it quite amusing that your whole approach to this thread has changed midstream. With offers of PMs with secret information and unchristian language - to the badly attempted defense of your born-again predjudices.

To Madfish, For me, your remarks on CF about stepping out in front of traffic (and others) kind of put a whole different spin to your "you make me sick" outburst of a few pages ago. Perhaps you should follow your own advice and take a good look at yourself.

To the rest of the CF crowd hanging out here, I am so glad I found you.
Did I not apologize then give him all my blessings for that comment I made to him? Yep I did!

I think people know I have a temper and get defensive. I type before I think and then always regret the comments I make, and always apologize.

And I do want to apologize for the mean things I said here.

Sorry...

Well...no offense but if you know you have this problem isn't there anything you can do about it? Are you trying to do something about it?

Anyway it was nice of you to apologize but I hope that you're trying to think before you type in future, as well.

(Not only that, but if you don't manage to think before you type you generally have between a few hours and forever to edit your posts...)

Please don't lecture me. You do not have to see people blast something you believe in everyday. It's upsetting to me and I take it very personnal.

This is not a chronic problem anyway, yes I have made a "couple" not so nice comments but in the end I am sorry... :banghead:

If you - or others - wouldn't say hurtful things to people in real life they'd be best not said on a forum, don't you think?

I see value in the anonymity permitted on forums, but the anonymity also can make it easy to be unkind/irresponsible in what one says and I don't personally think that's a good thing.

Helen
I see value too, like I said, I don't believe I've hurt anyone, and if I have, I expect to be called on it.

The Cf admins have talked about this and we would like to request that you change your avatar because it breaks one of our rules specifically rule 4.

You will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, satanic or otherwise violative of any local or international laws, or anything that encourages drug use. This includes links in your signature, profile, bookmarks as well as posted images, photos and avatars. Staff will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not.

Your avatar is about homosexuality so please change it to something else. This is a chrsitian forum anyway. thanks
You should point out that plenty of people discuss hetero-sexuality all the time have avatars about being wives, husbands, etc. Considering that hetero-sexuality is a sexual-orientation such people should also get a warning.

Perhaps to christians like you, but as far as I can tell he won't give the time of day to atheist complaints. His poor work as a member of the staff is what caused me to give up on CF as the baptistboard it is coming to.

BTW: BaptistBoard only allows Baptists to join now.

Nor do you. You don't have to read discussion boards.

Maybe you shouldn't take it personally if what they write is against God and not you. (Unless you're God )

But then - it's up to you whether you decide to exemplify the fruits of the Spirit, I suppose...

A not so nice comment (subject to interpretation, and not always seen as a not so nice comment) while contending one's faith is a sin?

And she does exemplify the fruits of the spirit. This has nothing to do with with a reaction on a message board, you wouldn't be judging now would you Helen?

Aren't we having fun? It's fun to debate huh? Nicely though....

Well, it depends, doesn't it...it's possible to contend for one's faith with gentleness and respect, or without.

Ok, I believe you, but...

...but why does the fruit of the spirit have nothing to do with reactions on message boards? I would have thought they have to do with everything

Of course not

I just get irritated when a Christian seems to be saying "that's just the way I am" as if our reactions aren't under our/God's control. They should be, shouldn't they?

Yep

I used to post on a Christian board where they totally despised the word 'nice'. That's scary - to me, anyway...
