Phlebas has to protect you guys from one lone critic.
That's pretty pathetic Phlebas seeing as how my comments were dodged all day long with a dozen or so people making all sorts of false statements about me, and challenging me to defend ideas I never espoused, and such.
By the way, is it OK to call out someone and force them to discuss a topic they nevr raised. I have repeatedly made clear the ideas that I was interested in discussing such as the fossil record, recapitulation, and wild overstatements. I have never claimed to be a YEC, nor have I ever claimed to know about their models to defend them except in a general fashion, and yet even that is attacked while dodging the issues I bring up. Guess it hurts to see these quotes I posted, and noone able to explain them away. On the Smithsonian letter, "Almost anyone who has a a doctorate in a physical science (biology, geology, paleontology (spelled wrong) etc...) will agree that evolution takes place. We have large amounts of evidence for it taking place, we can witness it in the world around us. What they do not all agree on is EXACTLY HOW it takes place. " This is not true, and I am surprised you are not aware of it. A great many doctorates even in these fields do not accept macro-evolution. Now, I will admit that they are a small minority, especially in those fields, but I would liken it to how pro-lifers are now a small minority in the dem party. Just my opinion, and since it isn't easliy quantifiable, I won't contest it, but I suspect that anyone that disagrees with the evoltuionary paradigm will be discriminated against if he or she chooses those fields, and most likely, they would rather choose a more rigorous and hard science, though maybe a few geneticists are more likely to defy the evolutionist establishment. By the way, my point here is not to make a comment on bird to dino theory, but rather concerning sensationalism tactics employed to convince the public. I am aware that Nature and Science are more resistant to some of these excesses, though I doubt they would ever publish findings that stated they cast doubt on evolutionary theory. If one publishes the findings like Gentry did, but leaves out the obvious conclusions, there may have been a time when they would have, but I doubt they would know. |

No, randman, more like, he has to protect us from one lone spamming troll. If he were really "protecting" us from opposing viewpoints, he'd be deleting your posts and banning you. And yet, your posts are only being moved, and you can still post.

OH really, I have posted every spare minute I have had practically in answering numerous uncalled for issues which I have no interest in, such as defending YEC, when I am not even a YEC, nor understand enough about their models to defend, but after posting for 2 hours, and then go to play with my kids, I come back here and he locks the thread claiming I haven't responded quick enough.???
I think he is embarrassed noone can explain the quotes on the fossil thread, or too proud to admit that maybe the "evidence" is not as strong and particular in the fossil record as evolutionists want everyone to beleive. [ March 10, 2002: Message edited by: randman ]
|

Again, randman, as has been asked of you before: if you're not a YEC, why are you posting links to YEC sites?
Why are you ignoring numerous posters? Why are you ignoring numerous arguments? What would you do in our place? You're a troll, pure and simple. |

Hmmm..unlike some of you, I think people of different perspectives can still have something to say on an issue. It is unbeleivable but apparently true that you guys do not obejectively consider evidence but rather rally around a particular side of an issue. It is actually astonishing to see.
Now, I see why you assume quoting an evolutionist is wrong for me, and don't see how an OEC can quote a YEC on something. The sciences are worse off than I could have imagined if ya'll are a product of their ways of educating people. |

[CAMERA PANS ACROSS DESERT SCENE. A COYOTE HOWLS. SLOWLY A CAMPFIRE COMES INTO VIEW. THE CAMERA PANS AROUND TO REVEAL...]
Patrick: Troll Hunter, did you find him yet? [CUT TO TROLL HUNTER, SOME DISTANCE AWAY ON A RIVERBANK.] Troll Hunter: Right, got my foot caught in this crocodile. Just give me a sec here. Crikey, but this one's a big'n.... [FADE TO PATRICK'S FORLORN FACE. A COYOTE HOWLS IN THE DISTANCE] Narrator: And still, Patrick waits. [ March 10, 2002: Message edited by: turtonm ]
|
