Default Skeptic Alert: Larry King discusses Angels tonight

The topic on Larry King Live tonight at 9 p.m. EST is:

Quote:
Do angels really exist? "The Book of Angels" author and psychic Sylvia Browne, inspirational teenage poet Mattie Stepanek and others discuss whether angels are real.
I'm sure you can guess what the answer will be from those two.

Since Larry King Live is a call-in show, I highly recommend anyone who doesn't suffer from stage fright to call in and give the skeptic's viewpoint on this.

I really really hope that someone will call in and ask why Sylvia has yet to respond to James Randi's challenge which she accepted on Larry King's show over a year ago.

"Discuss"...as if there will be any strong counter-point. These days I wouldn't even expect Discovery Channel or PBS to do a hard hitting program that debunks anything religious...they'll always go with the soft facts, and end with "we just don't know."

But if any callers can manage to get through and make Sylvia stumble, that'd be great...

Past experience suggests that skeptical callers will have to lie to the screeners to get on the program. It's all about entertainment value. A good line would be that you want to relate an angelic encounter you had when your little girl nearly died in a freak rodeo accident.

Hey lets figure out what specific question we should ask, and then all call. Much better chance then!

Should the question be about angels or her psychicness?

omfg thats crazy...whats with the 13 year old kid? WIERD. this episode has made me really, really fucking depressed. something like 70% of americans buy into this sort of crap, and its not just america. its just as bad in every other country. :sigh:

that kid is worst than sylvia saint.

the callers are fuckign crazy too. "i was alseep on the couch and my grandson had died, and something touched me on the shoulder and i woke up and saw a little boy, wahts thsi mean" well caller, it certainly ISNT the end of an REM dream pattern which often stays after wakign, its an angel!!!

omfg and the priest. "on september 11, it was angels that let the people get out of the towers" WHERE WERE THE FUCKING ANGELS WHEN 3000 PEOPLE DIED?! W T F. i always thought it was the firemen and police who rushed into the building to help, but apparently it was angels. fuck new yorks finest.
