Default Helen's Famous Quote

Well famous to me... I hope it can stand the company of a spin-off...

Her quote,
"Christians just don't act the way they would if [Christianity] were true."

(Did I ever tell you how much I love that insightful sentence?)

My spin-off,
"Christians just don't act the way they would if they really, REALLY believed Christianity to be true."

just a stray thought for me today.

My correction: Christians just don't act the way they would if they really, REALLY were true to Christianity."

If they really REALLY believe Christianity to be true, why would they want to not act according to it? What I mean is, they quote how if they just let go and let god, then god directs their lives for the good and they won't WANT to sin.

If they really REALLY believed that to be true they would have that. But also in terms of my thread the other day - why Christains grieve deaths. Lots of little things I guess.

Bah. Who's christianity? Which version? All of you christians can't seem to agree. Must make it very difficult to decide which particular sect of Jeebus worshipers to follow.

I notice that the way the world looks (in reference to christianity) is exactly what we would expect if it was all a bunch of man made nonsense.

Since the day I registered here, I've believed that Helen is an agnostic. She once wrote an article on her website called "Why I am an agnostic" I think that's why I like her.

It is not a matter of believe at all Rhea because believe (faith) is the enemy of Christian-ity. "Get thee begind me satan" and "naked Peter" are evidence of this.

The complete reversal of "the mind is willing but the flesh is weak" is the "the mind is willing but the flesh is weak" . . . but now seen from the other side.

There is no "version" and there is "no agreement" but just understanding without any spoken words. Only knowledge frees and both faith and doubt are the enemy of freedom, to leave believers and doubters engaged in the argument that will not end until understanding brings liberation to both faithers and doubters.

Mary is the Queen of peace through illumination and wherever she is darkness (satan) will be gone (but that is theology and should be left out).

Kally, if you have ever loved you will know that words are inadequate. Do you know what I mean?

How can you act like a Christian, if no one really knows what Christianity is? That's what's wierd about people following with blind faith. They are following something that isn't completely manifested, so they are in essence following nothing (to an extent).

There are so many forms of Christianity, how can any of the followers ever really figure out which way they should be pulled. So in their attempts to make life easy and conform, they still create chaos in their lives.
