Post Just a suggestion

Hello,
I was just wondering if there would be any way to have some kind of disclaimer that would direct any creationist/anti-evolutionist to the talk origins site or an equivolent.

Mabye this would prevent redundancy and make them think before they post. When I introduced myself here, the moderators were most thoughtful and directed me to helpful sites that I'm sure will shut me up for weeks! (but only on THIS site!)

If all creationist, etc... posters were informed it would cut down on probably 99% of arguments (or other site's verbatim arguments) that result from ignorance of facts. Arguments would be much more intelligent I believe. Granted, this shouldn't have to be done, but might prevent lots of <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" />

Mabye this has been suggested before, but some of these posts are rediculous, although they do allow some target good practice for many here
Any ideas?

Good idea, but most creationists aren't interested in actual debate, so directing them to a place where they can hone their arguments would be a wasted gesture. We do like to link to TO, but I don't think this helps much as it's very rare to get a creationist who's willing to listen to opposing views, and who's open to the idea that he/she may be wrong.

Rimstalker is spot on. However, it's even worse: I have run into a number of creationists who flat refuse to even look at TO. "I've read those FAQ's. Just more evilutionist apologetics. There's no evidence..." Talk about an unwinable argument.

Wink

Most importantly, if we redirected the trolls to TO, what would we feed Queen of Swords?

Aww, they think about me even in the more important, intellectual forums.
