My view is simple (though not simplistic): there is free will as long as you believe (in) it.

Freedom is an aspect of one's state of mind, and will is one's attitude toward (one's) actions.

(Physical data are not to prove fatalism.)

Fatalistic statements such as "whatever will happen, will happen", are only tautologies.
