Success Story
Last Friday was Ohio University-Lancaster's first commencement exercise. The school has existed for 45 years or so but this was the first time they recognized students who completed most of their degree work at this regional campus. Before, the students went to graduation on main (Athens) campus.
The program opened with a prayer from a local clergywoman. She actually did a nice job of keeping Jesus' name out of it. I was still disturbed by this. I e-mailed the dean and she has agreed to stop the practice! Moral; You never know what just one letter may accomplish. |
