Good ol' Amie. She won't answer questions
I do not intentionally evade questions, if I do not answer it is because I have a life that keeps me busy and I do not always recall where I last was on this board. If anyone has a question for me and I am not getting to it they are free to PM me...

but she's even better than I am at popping in unexpectedly with inane comments; she's like some sort of inane-comment ninja. I don't think she'll ever top Gemma, though.
what you wrote said absolutely NOTHING about Gemma, but plenty about you. such is life <shrug>

Gemma doesn't need my assistance, or anyone else's, to prove what a vaguely eerie space case she is. Besides, since we're stuck with her, we may as well have some fun with her.

Is it a deeply-philosophical insight that carries a mean-ass sting? Or is it just a tired, non-sequitur cliche?

Spare me. Whenever I attempt to imagine the sort of life you two might share, I get the creeps.

As for pissing on the "wisdom of the Catholic church," thank you, I think I will!
Sorry Shake, the "lower minds" are just those that do not see the wisdom of Catholicism and are likely to change their minds later. I kind of thought that this is what christ-on-a-stick had in mind. I was in Paris once and there I saw lots of people urinating against the Sacre-Coeur. What I found interesting is that they come from all over the world to look and admire the church while the fundies are busy proselytizing the visitors on the rather large steps, while the local priest was handing out apologies on behalf of the Church on the same steps. I got one and thought it was the most humble thing to do (you can't stop it anyway).

The kids are OK. It is not easy for them and they did not create themselves either. We are responsible and lucky for them that we can't take anything with us. I am from the hippy generation.

Do you think "mothering" and "fathering" are gifts of God or can we just learn that from a book?

You`re the one acting like this is junior highschool.
You`ve got a little crush on Amie and come running in to beat up anyone who dares say somethng to her that you don`t like.

It`s quite obvious so don`t bother trying to deny it. And don`t bother trying to say that you`re in the habit of rescuing other theists from the childish antics us us mean atheists because I don`t see you steppin in to help Radorth when he`s getting his ass handed to him.

You need to remember where you are and chill out. Anyone who presents nonsensical and irrational God baloney here is going to get a whooping one way or the other regardless of how you or anyone else feels about them.

So... you're agreeing with me?! I don't see any wisdom in Catholicism, so I take this above statement as an insult! I'm not very likely to change my mind on this, either.

Well, seeing as how I'm an atheist, and the fact that these aren't the only ways to learn about parenting ... I'll go with, "none of the above." You can learn some guidelines from books, yes, but you'll learn more from actual experience, whether your own or that of others. A little common sense doesn't hurt either. I didn't mean to get off-topic before, and I'd rather end this tangent since I could do a whole separate thread on this.

Well, then, that's your loss.
