I find this extremely amusing. Aldrin is on record as hating these guys. Then the guy calls Aldrin a thief.

Hmmm. What would I do?

If I had gotten punched in the face by 72-year-old man I wouldn't go around bragging about it.

Obviously, punching the dude was wrong, but I can understand why Buzz might get a bit angry.

Isn't it easy to spot Apollo artifacts on the moon with a telescope?

Not with a telescope, no.

Not even the Hubble Space Telescope.

Think about standing on the moon and trying to spot a motorhome on Earth -- even with a telescope.

(Note: Since some scientific instruments were meant to be detected from Earth, those instruments can be detected using the appropriate instruments from Earth.)

I think Aldrin was in the right.

This guy was telling him that his entire life was a lie and all his accomplishments were a result of fraud. Aldrin's probably been hearing this crap for the past thirty years and is likely sick and tired of it. If I were him , I'd have punched him in the face and kicked him when he's down.

If the guy sues, Aldrin should countersue. Aldrin has made money off the fact that he walked on the moon. This guy is saying that Aldrin never went to the moon and is thus defrauding all the people who have paid to hear him speak, given hima job as a result of his experiences, etc. So, he's committing slander against Aldrin with these allegations. Aldrin should take him to court.
