That is awful! The movie does a great job in exposing the hypocrisy of theism. And then they use it as a ploy to promote theism? UMPF!

What really got to me in that movie was that I could see every bit of that happening. The religious nut screwing up the whole ordeal over something that they are afraid of. To destroy the proof of their meager existence.

I think the strongest part is when she returns to the lab after the first machine is destroyed by christian terrorists and she turns up the speaker to listen to the signal. Such a symbol of just complete hopelessness and anger at how these minions of a god that doesn't exist hold us back from progress and learning about ourselves.

Hey, I felt the same way, when I was screaming at the tv, when Bush publicly announced that federal funds would not be allowed to go on stem cell research being used on a newly acquired embryonic stem cells. Just what is wrong with these people?

Gee, the fundies are trying to make everything an argument for god, who in their right mind would care what a 4 year-old brat thinks anyways? One of these days I bet a fundie will come along saying that god must exist because we can take a crap.

Exactly, UMPF! When I saw the link, I first thought they were using it as a negative example but then I read the article and I couldn't believe my eyes: they twisted the whole movie to fit their agenda.
Man, can you say chutzpah?

Or has anybody here seen a post by someone in their young teens who says something like this: "I'm only 13 years old, and yet I already understand that god created the universe. You're idiots." Has anyone else seen kids like this?
