Teaching high-school algebra to a fence-post
Some of the talk.origins regulars have been wasting an incredible amount of time and energy trying to do just that. They have been trying to explain to one Zoe Althrop the concept of "y=mx+b" as it pertains to isochron dating. Unfortunately, however, Zoe Althrop is "about as sharp as a sack of wet mice" (to paraphrase Foghorn Leghorn).
If you have a bit of time to waste, and are hankering for a cheap laugh or two at the expense of a particularly hapless creationist, check out a few of the posts in the t.o. "Isochron Icons" thread at http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&threadm=bt5pauk4odpr8dg817tvdh69f9t49 7scbr%404ax.com&prev=/groups%3Fnum%3D25%26hl%3Den%26group%3Dtalk.origins %26start%3D25. |

Yeah,
I used to debate her about the existance of genetic barriers that establish immuatable kinds. She isn't that bright, but at least she tries to back up her stuff. Most creationists just immediately fall back to "god did it," everytime. In my experience, she tried many different, although equally useless, ideas before falling back on "god did it." -RvFvS |
