Post The "Miracle" of Theism

I was just thinking about this the other night while relaxing in my armchair, and the thought shocked me to the core!
According to traditional Christianity, God created the human race and subsequently subjected this race of beings to a legal system that it knew they would not be able to adhere to. Given this deficiency on the part of the human race, this divine legal system allowed for the forgiveness of human transgressions only through the shedding of blood - in this case, the ritual killing of innocent animals. But, these ritual killings were not really satisfying to this deity; what it really needed was a human sacrifice. And this sacrifice came in the form of an innocent man: Jesus of Nazareth.
My intepretation: Christians worship a deity who did not have the foresight to establish a legal code that the human race could live up to, relishes in blood sacrifices, and is satisfied by the innocent paying a penalty for the guilty.

Hardly a being worthy of worship.

Yup, that's about the size of it.

Succinctly put.

And the symbol they use is of an implement of torture, a horridly nasty yet fiendishly simple way to torment people to death. Talk about a blatant threat...

Greetings:

You're not supposed to be able to live up to the commandments of religion.

You're supposed to fail.

Ever wonder why the greatest 'sin' is 'pride'?

Succesful folks don't 'humbly' seek forgiveness.

Keith.

And one of the prophets had the gall to write for "God": "I will give you laws you cannot live by."

Actually, it says in the Law of Moses that the law was not by any means anything the Israelites could not obey. I do not have a Bible around but will provide the verse later.

Thank you Jesus! Your death put a stop to the barbarous tradition of animal sacrifice and saved the lives of millions of innocent sheep.
