K I hate to keep referring you to C.S. Lewis books but have you ever read The Great Divorce? It's an allegory that gives one example of how suffering in heaven might work, and why some would rather stay in hell than endure that particular type of suffering.
But K I want you to understand that I am not aware of any Christian belief that states that people who enter heaven have an indefinite right to stay there. It could be if someone chooses to abuse their free will in heaven, and refuse to live by it's laws, they may have to leave. I haven't forgotten about your comments on the other thread I'm just taking a break from it to visit all the other threads I am participating in. I just want to say, though, that I think you are a very cordial and sincere person and that I enjoy debating with you, because you center on the ideas and not personal attacks. I don't get that a lot around here and I appreciate it. |

I haven't read it. I'll take a look at that one also. While your views on heaven are definitely not orthodox, I have to say that they are much more consistent than those of other theists I've talked to. Thank you for the kind words. I enjoy debating with you as well. And while we may or may not reach some common ground of understanding, I think the devate itself helps us each examine our own positions and reinforce or adjust them appropriately. |
