Talking If this doesn't falsify evilution...

...then nothing will.

Hi. I don't know if this "news" item from AiG has been discussed yet on this board, but I found it hilarious . In a nutshell: An anonymous yec electrical engineer (an engineer? What a surprise!), who graduated from an anonymous east coast university, is asked by said anonymous school to donate money. Said anonymous engineer sends a reply to anonymous Dean of said school that attacks Dean and school "for religiously promoting the theory of evolution as fact, in spite of the preponderance of available evidence that the theory has been thoroughly refuted, while ignoring–or worse, belittling and muzzling–creation."

AiG sure has answered the evilutionists challenge for a substantive, fact-based critique of evolution.

Or else this guy was just too cheap to donate money?

Or else it's all made up. Why withhold the name of the university? If I were a member of AiG, I would be sure to publish the name of the university so that my fellow AiG members could send them a bunch of hate mail.

Heh. Maybe they're afraid the school will track "Frank" down and take away his degree.

Dean of Students: "We gave a degree to this guy? Three degrees? Man, we've got to toughen our standards!"

NOTE: As we composed this (24 January 2002), Dr Frank D. has not yet received a reply from the dean.
Hardly surprising. The dean probably has better things to do than respond to nutcases who've never heard of radiometric dating, and besides, he's probably still pissing himself laughing.

I knew it was all a big conspiracy, I just knew it!

This last bit right under the letter was the funniest part yet!

Yeah, every time I read the "if this has been a blessing" I consider sending a donation. But I know some minimum-wage underling would be the one to open it, and fresh feces is probably included in the Post Office definition of "suspicious mail" anyway.

I get mine from Tesco. They are the only ones who take the pips out, and you pay less for the packaging.

What does being an engineer have to do with anything?

I think the point is that many of the YECs come from disciplines that often have little to do with biology. It's not a criticism of engineers, just a question of how much they can be expected to know about biology.
