>The Bible says that Christians would be wearing white robes "cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb"
>when they get to Heaven. See Revelation 6:9,13-14 Yes, and they will be white after being washed in Lamb's blood. The Bible will always surprise me. Mike Rosoft |

In most cases, there's nothing at all wrong with lust, nudity or sex. (There are exceptions of course... there are fundies that can't handle lust... it burns out their brains. Well such as they are. There are people who should NEVER be nude, just on general principle... and there are people, again mostly fundies, who for the good of humanity should just never breed.)
Fundies don't like nudity because it makes them feel all funny inside... like climbin a rope in gym class.... ew. |

If people didn't wear clothes anyway, the fact that someone was naked wouldn't matter to anyone else, it'd just be normal.
African tribal women with no tops on the discovery channel come to mind, noone in the tribe thinks its a big deal if a woman is topless. Edit: Oops, forgot the point: If everyone was naked, then they wouldn't be any more likely to have lust, because being naked would be normal. [ June 06, 2002: Message edited by: alphatronics ]</p> |

I don't think there's a real doctrinal basis for it. I think conservative people are uncomfortable with nudity, so they project it back on their religious beliefs. Kind of like the attitude conservative Christians had to long hair (on men) 30 years ago.
